Write the discussion part base on the files attached and these following comments PCR results (approximate to parasitemia): comparison PCR-invasion: when you have more parasites in the blood, there are also more inhibitory antibodies in plasma (neg correlation betwen high parasitemia and low invasion). This also fits well with the fact that you have higher levels of antibodies in shizont extract Elisa. Invasion results: Interesting that there is a correlation between low invasion, high antibodies agaisnt schizextr and high cromer antibodies. Perhaps these antibodies help in inhibiting invasion. CD55 is internalized by the parasites (read Skakya eLife 2021 and Olivieri et al 2021 Comm Biol). Kell-JMH-duffy: Pos correlation between these 3, so if you have formed antibodies against one of them, there is a high probability of having antibodies agaisnt the other ones. But there is a neg correlation between CD55 and Kell/duffy, perhaps because CD55 is internalised by the parasites and the other ones are not??? When you write the paper, be careful to mention how the proteins were made, are they recombinant proteins (if so are they correctly folded?) or purified from plasma? very clear neg correlation Kell-JMH-duffy to untreated S1/S2/S3 as expected high pos correlation between untreated and papain-treated results. DAT only correlated with IgG, so probably mostly dependent on IgG. plasma proteins: when CRP goes up, a sign of inflammation, albumin goes down which is normal and expected. When CRP is high, also high of the other inflammatory markers alfa-1-at, haptoglobin, oroso goes up. So no signs of hemolysis (if so haptoglobin would go down compared to the other ones). when CRP goes up, also more antibodies binding in general to red cells (ELISA don 1-3).less
