Paper details
visit the joint ACR and RSNA website specifically designed for patients. radiology info.org
Topic: Online imaging-related resources (such as those from RadiologyInfo.org) are intended to educate
our patients. This week there are several questions that I want you to consider for your initial post:
• As you know, patients regularly ask you questions about procedures – do you think that RadiologyInfo is a
good resource to point patients toward?
• Have you thought about the health-literacy of your patients when suggesting resources? Should you?
• Should the imaging community become more aware of this site and others like it?
• Clearly, as distance education students, you all have access to radiologyinfo.org (Links to an external
site.) — but what do we do for patients that do not?
You do not have to address each specific point above but I want you to share your thoughts about this
content as it relates to education, health literacy, and patient access. Please also be sure to share ONE
additional web resource that can be used to educate patients in the Imaging Sciences with your
classmates.
