Moving forward, you are focusing on your Capstone project DPAL and the interventions for it. Each intervention connects to your overall strategic goal. You will make use of the template provided and address your first identified need and briefly articulate your proposed Intervention #1 based on the template (part 3, steps a – g).
Identified Needs:
Standing Rock Sioux Tribe:
Fear: The destruction of civilization, the pollution of the environment, the shock of the economy, their lives are affected.
Need: Changing the construction routes that not cross into their territories.
US Army Corps of Engineers/Dakota Access LLC:
Fear: the cessation of the project and violations of their interests.
Need: Economic benefits and to move forward with energy infrastructure projects.
North Dakota Officials:
Fear: Protests escalated and security ability was called into question and influence the president elections.
Need: Prosper the local economy and protect federal property.
Your paper should be no more than five pages long.
You must write your paper in APA format and cite sources. You will be evaluated on elements such as the logic of argumentation, cohesion of arguments, tailoring of the appropriate intervention strategy from the handbook to the relevant case study, and depth of analysis.

Criteria Ratings Pts
This criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeDepth of analysis 8 to >7.0 pts
Sophisticated
Paper goes beyond the assignment to explore the implications of arguments or evidence in new contexts or in particularly thoughtful, insightful, and/or original ways. Paper shows a nuanced grasp of conflict resolution principles and the ability to apply these principles with facility. 7 to >4.0 pts
Competent
Paper fully meets the parameters of the assignment but does not exceed them. (and/or…) Paper demonstrates a good grasp of conflict resolution principles but some awkwardness applying them. 4 to >1.0 pts
Fairly Competent
Paper does not address some aspects of the assignment. (and/or…) Paper demonstrates a somewhat shaky grasp of conflict resolution principles. 1 to >0 pts
Not yet competent
Paper does not address the assignment. Paper is inconsistent with conflict resolution principles (i.e., it makes or fails to challenge the systemic assumptions of the problem.)

This criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeLogic & Organization 5 to >4.0 pts
Sophisticated
Organization of paper as a whole is logical and quickly apparent. Connections among paragraphs are clearly articulated. Transitions between paragraphs are smooth. Every paragraph makes one distinct and coherent point, expressed in a clear topic sentence; the parts of each paragraph connect logically and persuasively, and internal transitions are smooth. 4 to >3.0 pts
Competent
Organization of paper as a whole is logical and apparent, but transitions between paragraphs are not consistently smooth. Every paragraph makes one distinct and coherent point and, for the most part, the parts of each paragraph connect logically and effectively. In all but a few cases, the paragraph’s point is expressed in a clear topic sentence. 3 to >1.0 pts
Fairly Competent
Organization of the paper as a whole can only be discerned with effort. (and/or…) Not all parts of the paper fit the organizational structure. (and/or…) Not all the parts of the paper are effectively integrated. In a number of paragraphs, there is not a distinct or coherent point. (and/or) Topic sentences are missing or unclear in a number of paragraphs. (and/or) In a number of paragraphs, the parts do not connect logically. 1 to >0 pts
Not Yet Competent
Organization of the paper as a whole is not logical or discernable.

Template for Resolution Strategies
1. Recap main needs as identified in conflict analysis
2. Strategic goal for the entire intervention roadmap
3. Cite one individual need from recap and develop:
a. What has been done to address this need so far?
b. Your recommended intervention method and strategy
c. Rationale for this choice (why this one and not another?)
d. What needs to be in place to ensure it is successful? (i.e., training to build skill, systemic change, etc.)
e. How are you addressing cultural sensitivity & appropriateness? Are you addressing the change at the right level of conflict?
f. How will it be monitored? What are the benchmarks you are hoping to achieve?
g. How will it be evaluated (what methods will you use) to measure success?
4. Start again from 3 with another need and include all steps (a-g).
5. Continue to cite all needs, as needed and deemed appropriate
6. Develop a SWOT analysis and make concluding remarks as to how to mitigate the main identified weakness
7. If you do make mention of capacity-building (ie., training, institutional support, mentoring, etc.), please use this space (350 words max) to develop a capacity-building concept.
Strategic goal for the intervention:
The goal of intervention is to achieve win-win results by actively solving problems. In this case, the parties to the conflict had opposing interests. For third parties can seek a win-win situation, and for the tribe and pipeline responsible party, we try our best to take a compromise approach, let everyone in a room peace talks as purpose.
Intervention Method 3 I chose:
RealTime Strategic Change: RTSC helps to make big things happen fast. If the situation fits the following three criteria, RealTime Strategic Change is a path to pursue: 1. Multiple stakeholders have competing needs 2. Aligned action is required. For example, they can repeated pipeline survey announcements to the public, and tried to reroute the pipeline.
For writer: all the methods I chose from the book : The Change management handbook. If you think it is not appropriate for this case (DAPL, Dakota Access Pipeline). You can select other methods from the book. Please follow the template and look at the criteria.
Each intervention connects to my overall strategic goal. You will make use of the template provided and address your first identified need and briefly articulate your proposed Intervention. I have order six page, please 3-pages for intervention 1- and 3-pages intervention 2. Thank you.
