About
Courage for Freedom is a Canadian-leading organization and registered charity providing direct
supports, therapy, and trauma informed care for minor aged victim/survivors of human trafficking and
their families. Our services and resulting data have become vital information developed into programs
that educate, train, and certify front-line staff and community service providers with proven strategies
and prevention tactics to serve vulnerable victims of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. Our
advocacy and projects in awareness and community engagement opens communication with
governments, stakeholders, and industry sectors to challenge systems and gaps in service to inspire
change and to eradicate the buying and selling of children and youth. Courage for Freedom’s work is
survivor lead and survivor trauma informed, translating into vital training certification, awareness
engagement and calls to action for the benefit of victims/survivors and our communities.
Mission / Goals
To assist local communities, our province and nation in development and delivery of awareness,
prevention, and intervention of vulnerable victim survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
Creating and implementing creative children, youth and family solution-based counselling and trauma
supports, including horses that heal programs and other proven survivor centric trauma/PTSD specific
means. Network and inspire clinical and community organizations by way of consulting/collaborating in
groups, therapies, peer mentoring, counselling, residential support, warm transitional services, and
mental wellness bridge programs. Educate, train, and certify front-line staff and community service
providers with proven strategies and prevention tactics to serve victims of human trafficking and sexual
exploitation. Inspire change in government, stakeholders, and industry sectors to work towards
eradicating the buying and selling of girls and boys, children in Canada and globally.

PROJECT/ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW
Summary/Purpose:
Key Data research collection/sorting/spreadsheet database development and communication
Project Contact:
Kelly Tallon Franklin or designated staff/volunteer Board of Directors member
Scope:
• Important informational organizing and research for our registered anti human trafficking
charity work
• Work remotely with the hours available through your placement
• Meet with CED to discuss language, phrasing, does and don’t in presentations of HT and SE
content and conversations
• Meet weekly with a Staff, Volunteer or Board of Directors member to review and update work
plan goals and progress.
• Work independently in Excel to build a comprehensive spread sheet for the benefit of increasing
collaboration and awareness
• Follow recommended url links to source data for specific locations, organizations, industries and
communities and their communication data
• Include research on social media channels and handles, tags to forward to Board/Social Media
Volunteers for ongoing projects
• Develop written communication, e-communication for the spreadsheet members to
o Introduce agency
o Introduce projects
o Offer resource
o Network prevention
Timeline:
Per availability of student or student group according to their placement allocation.

• Introductory call/zoom to orient student with agency information, expectations and set work plan
• Virtually once a week at a regular organized check in
• Via email, calls, texts as students needs support, clarification or direction as often as needed.
