Paper details
Each paper will have a minimum of 4 outside sources. Acceptable outside sources are: professional
journals or periodicals, books (other than books written specifically as textbooks), articles or materials
published by the National Institute of Justice, Bureau of Justice Statistics and others available through the
National Criminal Justice Reference Service (https://www.ncjrs.gov/)
All research papers are due by Sunday, March 14, 2021, 11:59PM
Research Papers are REQUIRED to be an ORIGINAL Work, NOT a duplication from another class or an
edited/self-plagiarized duplicate research paper that has been previously submitted during your academic
career.
The paper will be worth 100 points and will be graded on the following criteria:
Provides a thorough discussion and analysis of all of the elements of the subject.
Contains a clear organizational pattern, to include an introduction, a body, and a conclusion. The
conclusion will include a comprehensive summary of the paper.
The paper must:
(1) Have a minimum of 10 pages; the 10-page total DOES NOT include the title page, abstract, and
reference pages.
(2) Have no more than 10 errors in grammar, word usage or other mechanics such as spelling, sentence
structure, etc.
The term paper will be graded on the same standard as that used on essay questions.
This paper will be double spaced, using a #12 font, with no more than 1 and ¼ inch margins on all sides,
American Psychological Association (APA) format.
