
Assignment Description from Professor: Tel-Comm-Tek is an American printer manufacturer with a large Indian operation. The current Country Manager is retiring, and the Head Office needs to appoint a new one. There is a short list of six. Your assignment is to evaluate the pros and cons of each of the candidates and make a recommendation. Assume you are writing a report to the CEO and the HR Director, who together will make the final decision. The case study is attached below. Do the evaluation but do NOT answer the questions at the end of the case study; that is NOT your assignment. To reach your decision, you must use a decision matrix. You must identify your decision criteria, give each an importance of 1 to 5, and then evaluate each of the candidates from 1 to 10 on each criterion. The candidate’s total score will be the sum of the products against each criterion (i.e. the criterion importance out of 5 multiplied by the candidate’s ranking out of 10). You must give your top two choices and explain why. You may or may not choose the candidate with the top ranking on your decision table.
