This paper is due at the end of the course and focuses on comparing two intervention approaches.
The paper should be 8-10 pages long, typed and double-spaced. Incorporate into the paper a minimum of four (4) different sources beyond required readings
and include a reference page of citations using the APA Publication Manual style. Your paper should address the following areas:
1. Identify the two intervention approaches you are comparing – particularly noting the reason for your choice and noting issues of efficacy, usefulness, and

approach that you take with a client or client system? NOTE: Students must choose at least one intervention that has not been a primary focus of lecture
material (ie. CBT, MI or SFT).
2. Discuss the ways that you have or have not incorporated these interventions in your practice use (please disguise any case material). On what did you
base your decisions for their use? Discuss any ideas that you might have about how to evaluate your own practice of these interventions. Use excerpts of
process recordings wherever possible.
3. In exploring these two approaches, how does the use of self differ using each? What aspects of transference/countertransference are evident in their use…
