In this assignment, you will apply acquired knowledge of the unique nature of human resources (HR) in a higher education institution. You will analyze HR
roles and operations in the context of faculty management. Specifically, you will write a 2- to 3-page paper for the sixth section of the final project, an
institutional analysis. Do not identify the institution by name; use the selected pseudonym (Module 2) instead.
Step 1. Research
Research your chosen higher education institution’s faculty governance and committee structure and how the academic departments are organized. The
financial section should include the total student enrollment, classify the institution as nonprofit or for-profit, and outline all sources of funding, including
tuition structure and financial aid eligibility.
Step 2. Research and Analyze
Research the concentrations of faculty type at the institution, as well as the existence of tenure or unions for faculty. Analyze the human resources roles and
operations in the context of faculty management.
Step 3. Provide
Provide an account of the faculty-to-student ratio at the institution.
Step 4. Research and Determine
Research a sampling of the faculty (no names, please) to determine levels of scholarship/research and how these levels might contribute to student learning.
