Social Issue: Freedom and Security
This has been a widely discussed and debated topic in the United States for years.
Should we enjoy freedom but run the risk of being unsafe or should the government protect us but also restrict us for the sake of other citizens’ protection? What we, as Americans, often overlook is the fact that this not necessarily an uncompromisable issue. Why can’t we have both security and freedom?
• Without any freedom at all, we would not be able to enjoy our lives as citizens.
• Freedom secures individual security from cruel and unusual punishment, as stated in the Bill of Rights.
• On national level, freedom could possibly jeopardize overall security.
Benjamin Franklin once said; “Those who would give up essential freedom, to purchase a little temporary, security, deserve neither freedom nor security.” That quote often comes up in the context of new technology and concerns about government surveillance. Very simply- and I am paraphrasing here but Ben Franklin essentially said at one point, those who would take freedom for a bit of security deserve neither freedom nor security.

Social Issue: Health and Wealth
Having health and wealth receiving power is an essential that everyone can love to have freedom of life to have a good life, good health, and wealth.
• Struggles with money can take a total on a person life and health.
• Having lower income and bad housing can have effect on your health.
• The higher of the income leaves to good health and wealth.
If you have health, you probably will be happy, and if you have health and happiness, you will have all the wealth you need, even if it is not all you want.
If we look at wealth on a national level, poverty; seems to have a negative impact on…might have an advantage when it comes to finding happiness, even though… After all, how can you not be happy if you have a personal helicopter to take…suggest that winning the lottery might have a positive impact on mental health.
