This week’s readings focused on effective communication, leadership vision, and relationships. Please consider all of these topics as you watch the following videos and answer one of the questions.
Questions:
Have you ever been in a position where you’re responsible for leading a new team (either through work, school, church, etc.)? Describe what you did in order to connect and build relationships with your team members.
In Phillip’s book Lincoln on Leadership, he says “It turns out that human beings reason largely by means of stories, not by mounds of data.” Can you describe an interaction where humor, and or storytelling was used to influence/persuade another?
Describe how a change vision strategy was implemented in your organization. What did you find effective and what would you do differently?
