Develop a business plan for an e-commerce site
You will develop a concept for an online business and develop a partial business plan to present
to potential investors. Your business can offer any product/service but you must consider all
aspects of the business, such as, production of goods, customer service, and distribution. For
example, if you want to create a business that sells customized baseball caps you must consider:
Where will you source the product?
How will you take the order for customization?
Who will do the customization?
How will the customer get the product?
You do not need to go into extreme detail but you must provide enough information so that it is
clear you have done your homework.
This project is focused on the how e-commerce effects the business functions of sales,
procurement, operations, distribution, and customer service. You will need to pay close attention
to explaining processes, purposes, and technology support.
