Directions:
The assignment consists of the following steps:
1) Complete the coursework to help you answer the question fully and correctly. You must
use all the terms, and also UNDERLINE (or bold) them when you DEFINE the terms.
Use the textbook and online resources I provided, AND use correct in text citations and
bibliographic methods. Consult the rubric to make sure you followed all directions.
Upload BEFORE the deadline so you can check the Originality Report and make any
necessary corrections.
2) Answer the question using a persuasive essay format.
Language helps us construct the world, including who we can marry. How do
the terms we use to describe our relationships influence who we can and who
we cannot marry? Give specific examples from the textbook and videos.
A well-argued answer should cover the following:
