You may use your research and work from this first paper toward the final paper. You have completed 17 pages, please write 9 more (8 pages of text, 1-page
Appendix) It is advised for you to provide an addendum (1 page) Explaining how you will develop your paper further in the final.
The reference is the same as the order of last time. Outside sources may be used but it must include at least some of the course texts as a central element.
The paper will be evaluated based on the ability to sustain a logical line of argument and to provide supporting evidence in defense of the claims made.
Here is a standard format for the contents of a social science thesis paper:
1) Introduction (includes your research question, thesis statement, and a roadmap)
2) Literature Review (schools of thought)
3) Methodology
4) Presentation of Results
5) Discussion of results
6) Conclusion
7) Bibliography
8) Appendix
If you are writing a humanities-oriented, political theory, or Constitutional law paper, you will develop an argument around a critical analysis of issues or texts.
Such a paper will have a similar organization as above. However, it will probably not have a separate “presentation of results” and “discussion of results”
section. You also may not need a “methodology” section
