Paper details
In the field of Science and technology studies, civic epistemology is a term developed by Sheila Jasanoff to
describe the way countries adopt expertise into policy-making, for example what kinds of advice agencies are
there and how do they relate to the government. Expertise has played a large role in the Covid-19 crisis and
this is a great opportunity to analyze each country’s style. The thesis should give an overview of how much
each country’s response is in line with what the literature says about that country’s civic epistemology and
political style and have a section focused especially on what the issue of Triage says about each country.
Triage is when all medical resources run out, how patients will be prioritized, in other words who is saved and
who isn’t.
