There are many reality TV shows now that help people overcome behavioral problems or achieve goals, such as The Biggest Loser, or Extreme Makeover-Weight-loss Edition. There are also “treatment” shows such as Intervention and Hoarders. Select a clip or episode from one of these shows to watch.
Then write a reflection paper answering the following questions:
1. What helped make the plan successful?
2. What flaws did the plan have?
3. How were goals and rules used effectively (or ineffectively)?
4. What is not “real” about the situation you watched? How would you have to adjust approaches to better fit your own “reality”?
