2. How your work is assessed
As this module is overseen by the Centre for Lifelong Learning (CLL) your work will be assessed using the assessment criteria developed by CLL for this module (this is so we can moderate the RPP assignments across different departments who also run a version of the module).
Your coursework is assessed using the learning outcomes signposted in the introduction to the module and the course assessment criteria. A summary of the main assessment criteria is as follows:
Knowledge and Understanding
How systematic is the knowledge and understanding?
How comprehensive is the coverage of key concepts?
Analysis and Evaluation
Is the work focused, rigorous and relevant?
How comprehensive and systematic is the approach taken?
Reflective Practice
Is there evidence of skills development in reflective practice?
How creative and innovative is the work?
Communication
Is the writing clear, fluent and coherent with few errors?
How well used are the course referencing and presentation guides?
Please check the course assessment criteria in your course handbook. This provides detailed guidance on the topics above. Clear distinction, merit, pass and fail criteria are also shown. The course guides to referencing and presentation of coursework are also provided in the handbook and must be used in all cases. Overall word limits for summative assessment must be adhered to within a 10% leeway and work over/under this will be penalised. All coursework must be submitted using the online system.
Your annually updated course handbook can be found in the Career Studies and Coaching Programmes Hub in Moodle. There is a shortcut available in the right hand column of this module’s home page.
