The National Conference on Ministry to the Armed Forces (NCMAF) produced The Covenant and the Code of Ethics for Chaplains of the Armed Forces. This document, along with AR 165-1, clearly addresses your responsibility as a chaplain within a pluralistic (religiously diverse) environment.
With all of this in mind, write a double-spaced, 12-point Arial font, 2-page paper with one-inch margins articulating how you will provide religious support in the pluralistic Army environment. Include at least two (2) specific examples of possible ways you can “provide” when you cannot “perform.” This is not about how you will pray at events with mandatory attendance.
Using Turabian/Chicago-style endnotes, you must cite at least three (3) sources of Army regulation, doctrine, or authoritative guidance. Examples include AR 165-1, FM 1-05, the First Amendment, Title 10 U.S. Code, the NCMAF Covenant and Code of Ethics, and specific documents from your ecclesiastical endorser. Cite in accordance with the examples.
You must include how your specific faith tradition/ecclesiastical endorser equips and guides you in providing religious support for Soldiers from other faith traditions.
